Soon after receiving his credentials in dentistry, Dr.
David M. White, realized he had a passion for two
things, education and giving back to the community. In
response, Dr. White joined forces with the education
system to create opportunities for students to become
more involved in their communities while continuing
their education to accomplish their long term goals.
In 2008, Dr. White saw the opportunity to help a
young student, who had a passion for racing, to further
his racing career. Dr. White created Scholastic Racing.
Scholastic racing’s purpose is for young drivers like
Tanner Thorson to race as long as their main focus is
their academics. Every month, Tanner must provide Dr.
White with his progress report from school. In return
Dr. White will support Tanner by sponsoring him in his
500cc Intermediate Outlaw Kart. Dr. White hopes that
Scholastic Racing will help young drivers follow their
passion with the understanding that an education is what
will take them even further in life!
